2021 Q1 Review

Low-Producing Oil Well Severance Tax Credit NOW AVAILABLE!

100% Crude Oil Severance TAX EXEMPTION! For the first time since 2016, the Texas Comptroller-certified average price of oil has fallen low enough to allow operators of eligible oil wells to file for a severance tax credit. (P.S. This can also be done for gas wells.)

Florida's First Oil Field

38 years of dry-holes before the State of Florida offered a $50,000 bounty in 1939 for the state's first oil discovery. Finally, in 1943 Humble Oil and Refining Co (now ExxonMobil) completed the Sunniland No. 1 and was awarded the bounty. The well came in at 140 bopd and quickly settled at 20 bopd.
